Execution Toolbox – Tools You Need For Business Improvement Projects
When a house is being built, it’s not just by the bare hands of one person. You have the group with the design vision, the architects to draw up the plans, the team to lay the foundation, and construction workers and specialized contractors for the parts in between. After you have a house, you’re still not done. 
There’s painters, interior decorators, landscapers, etc. All these groups need to communicate with the homeowners, as well as each other to build a home the way it was intended. If these people didn’t communicate or follow a process, you may end up with a stove in the bathroom and a lawn in the bedroom. And we all know, it takes twice as long to fix a mistake than it does to make a plan in order to avoid making one in the first place.
The same principles apply to an organization. In order to execute on your big-picture/vision, your team must understand who is responsible for what and when. To expand on that, there needs to be accountability, task and project delegation, indicators that show when individuals and their teams are on track, feedback loops, and of course – celebration at each milestone. Execution isn’t easy, which is why it’s important to have the right tools when you need them.
